Cultural Partnerships

Bothy Project is a unique and independent arts charity that supports individuals and cultural organisations to realise ambitious projects through undertaking residencies at our network of purpose built, off-grid creative residency spaces in distinct and diverse locations around Scotland.

Bothy Project is Scotland’s leading organisation within a contemporary global movement that creates huts, bothies and cabins in the wilderness, proposing them as ecological, as technological, architectural, and social models. Bothy Project’s ambition is to become a major contributor to the cultural landscape of Scotland through providing talented individuals with opportunities to experience the wild landscape and the pragmatics of off-grid living.

Bothy Project aims to promote activity from artists, makers and researchers in facilitating the creation of new works in partnership with an evolving network of cultural institutions. Through individual residency projects, each artist can develop opportunities for dialogue and debate contributing to the infrastructure of professional, creative and expanded practice.
