Partnership Residencies (Fieldwork)

Fieldwork Residencies are solo, off-grid residencies for individuals interested in ‘landscape in widest sense’. They are one or two weeks long and funded by a partner organisation.

This strand is for researchers, academics and other experts who are working on environmental and ecological themes, and can benefit from time at the bothies and consider it important to share their research with diverse audiences. This strand is open to individuals and organisations based in the UK or Europe.

Fieldwork Residencies allow organisations and the researchers they are working with to access Bothy Project’s unique resources; facilitating and strengthening the partner organisation’s work, and allowing researchers to connect with engaged local audiences.

If you are interested in undertaking or facilitating a Fieldwork Residency as an individual or organisation, please contact to discuss your needs. We can currently accommodate three Fieldwork Residencies a year.

To date, we have worked with the School of Geographical and Earth Sciences, University of Glasgow and Thinking Culture, School of Culture & Creative Arts, University of Glasgow.
